Job Summary:

SVI Electronics [USA] LLC, in Vancouver, Washington, is looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development professional with a strong “hunter” mindset to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth. This role is at the Director and will focus on identifying and securing new EMS business opportunities, particularly aligned with our USA manufacturing footprint in close collaboration with our Asia operations.

The ideal candidate is energetic, well-connected within the electronics ecosystem, and experienced in engaging with multiple customer segments across industries.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Identify, target, and acquire new customers in the EMS space across key industries (industrial, medical, consumer, etc.)
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities
  • Drive the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure
  • Develop strategic account plans for key prospects

Market Expansion & Networking

  • Leverage existing industry network to generate new business opportunities
  • Build relationships with decision-makers (engineering, sourcing, supply chain, and leadership teams)
  • Actively participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking platforms
  • Monitor market trends, competitor positioning, and customer needs

Customer Engagement & Solution Alignment

  • Understand customer requirements (technical, commercial, and operational)
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to develop tailored EMS solutions
  • Present SVI’s capabilities, value proposition, and differentiators effectively

Cross-Regional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Asia-based manufacturing teams to align on capabilities, costing, and delivery
  • Ensure seamless coordination between customer expectations and internal execution

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and CRM updates
  • Track KPIs including lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue growth

Education & Experience:

  • At least 15 years of experience in business development, sales, or program management within the EMS or electronics industry
  • Experience working with small to mid-sized EMS companies is strongly preferred
  • Exposure to a broader customer base and multi-industry engagement is highly valued
  • Background in electronic component manufacturing or distribution is an added advantage
  • Strong understanding of industry dynamics, supply chain, and customer ecosystem
  • Proven track record of acquiring new customers and closing deals

Compensation, Pay Transparency, & Benefits:

In accordance with Washington State pay transparency requirements, the anticipated salary range for this position is $139,000 to $188,000 annually, with final compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location within the U.S. West Coast market.
