Location: Columbia, SC. Role is hybrid (3 days onsite per week).

Project Scope

Seeking an experienced Systems Software Programmer – Project Lead to support the development, modernization, and maintenance of Early Care and Education applications, including the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) systems. The consultant will lead development efforts for internal and external web applications, modernize legacy portals, and develop scalable enterprise solutions using Microsoft .NET technologies and Angular.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in full-stack .NET development, Angular, TypeScript, SQL Server, Web API, and WCF services. This role requires leadership in application design, development, testing, deployment, and collaboration with development teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise web applications.
  • Develop and modernize CACFP applications, claims modules, compliance modules, and supporting portal applications.
  • Migrate and upgrade legacy applications to modern .NET and Angular technologies.
  • Design and develop Web APIs and WCF services for enterprise integrations.
  • Develop and maintain SQL Server database objects, queries, and stored procedures.
  • Perform code development, unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and deployment.
  • Participate in application architecture, technical design, and code reviews.
  • Support source code management, build management, and deployment using Team Foundation Server (TFS).
  • Collaborate with business users, project teams, and technical staff to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Mentor development team members and contribute to development standards and best practices.

  • 7+ years of experience with TypeScript.
  • 7+ years of experience with Angular 9/11.
  • 7+ years of experience with C#.NET.
  • 7+ years of experience with VB.NET, ASP.NET, and ASP.NET MVC.
  • 7+ years of experience developing Web API and WCF Services.
  • 7+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • 7+ years of experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.

  • Experience working with SQL Server 2016 or higher, including Always Encrypted features.
