NOW HIRING: Part-Time Passenger Assistant (Wheelchair Agent)

Location: Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)
Pay Rate: $17.13 per hour

Available Shifts
  • 5:00 PM โ€“ 11:00 PM

  • One Position Available: 2:30 PM โ€“ 7:30 PM

Position Summary

As a Passenger Assistant, you will provide safe, courteous, and reliable wheelchair assistance to airline passengers who require mobility support. You will play an essential role in delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring passengers reach their destinations safely and comfortably.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Safely transport passengers to and from airport gates, terminals, baggage claim, and other designated locations.

  • Assist passengers with mobility needs while providing exceptional customer service.

  • Provide directions, answer questions, and assist travelers with general airport information.

  • Maintain a friendly, professional, and positive attitude when interacting with passengers, airline personnel, and the public.

  • Coordinate assignments with dispatchers and airline gate agents.

  • Comply with all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security procedures and checkpoint requirements.

  • Complete wheelchair usage logs and incident reports accurately and promptly.

  • Remain alert to safety hazards and maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.

  • Frequently lift, squat, bend, stoop, and push wheelchairs.

  • Ability to lift, carry, and/or support up to 75 pounds.

  • Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (may be required at some locations).

  • Reliable transportation is required.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed.

  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening (DOT or Non-DOT, as applicable) and participate in random testing requirements.
