Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively develop new business in assigned regions and implement measures to exploit market potential
  • Manage existing customers
  • Competently support customers and Sales Reps / distributors in technical questions and applications
  • Independently negotiate with customers and Sales Reps / distributors within corporate guidelines
  • Meet sales / profit targets
  • Extensive business travel to promote Hermle products to customers in designated area
  • Periodic overseas travel to Germany for training, maintaining product knowledge and customer visits
  • Attendance at trade shows and open houses
  • Self-motivating home office-based working
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • At least ten years of sales experience within the high-end machine tool industry
  • Graduate engineer (mechanical or electrical) or equal work-related experience with profound knowledge in the machine tool industry
  • Negotiation skills and results driven thinking
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer satisfaction, focus oriented thinking
  • Proven record in successfully selling high end machine tools in competitive markets
  • Microsoft Office knowledge is mandatory
  • Several years of sales organization management
  • Preferred locations: North Carolina / South Carolina / Virginia / West Virginia / Tennessee / District of Columbia / Maryland / Delaware
