Job description

Position Overview
Aptiv is seeking a GTO US Customs Analyst to support its U.S. import and export operations. This role is critical in ensuring customs compliance, accurate financial reporting, and efficient processing of trade activities for our U.S. and Mexico manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong U.S. trade compliance experience and attention to detail to support day-to-day operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily U.S. import and export transactions, including In-Bond and Consumption Entries
  • Monitor and resolve discrepancies in shipment documentation and data
  • Execute post-entry activities, including corrections, protests, and reconciliation filings
  • Maintain proper recordkeeping and documentation logs in compliance with CBP regulations
  • Conduct entry audits and duty rate analysis to ensure classification accuracy and cost control
  • Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely clearance
  • Prepare and report monthly customs-related financials, including journal vouchers and invoice processing
  • Support Partner Government Agency (PGA) reporting and other regulatory requirements
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to trade compliance systems and reporting tools

Qualifications
  • High School diploma required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in U.S. customs operations, trade compliance, or logistics
  • Strong understanding of U.S. import/export regulations, entry processes, and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification
  • Familiarity with post-entry procedures and customs audit requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP or GTS experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required
