Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with exceptional expertise in Deltek software and a thorough understanding of Overhead (OH) rates and multipliers. The successful candidate will assume leadership of an accounting team with which you will work on a daily basis. You will also play a critical role in managing financial operations, optimizing Deltek functionalities, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and contractual requirements. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, to support organisational goals and objectives.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Deltek Expertise:
Utilize Deltek Vantagepoint software to manage financial data effectively, including project accounting, cost tracking, and invoicing.
Leverage Deltek functionalities to streamline financial processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve reporting capabilities.
Serve as the primary administrator for Deltek Vantagepoint, overseeing system configurations, upgrades, and user training.
Overhead Rate and Multiplier Management:
Calculate, analyse, and monitor Overhead (OH) rates and multipliers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project requirements and financial objectives.
Develop strategies to optimise OH rates and multipliers, driving profitability and competitiveness in contract negotiations and pricing decisions.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable insights to senior management and stakeholders.
Prepare comprehensive financial reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate key performance indicators and financial metrics effectively.
Communication and Collaboration:
Foster transparent communication and collaboration across departments, providing financial guidance and support to project managers, business development teams, and executive leadership.
Cultivate a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices in financial management and reporting.
Compliance and Audit Support:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, contractual requirements, and accounting standards, coordinating internal and external audits. Implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance financial controls, mitigate risks, and safeguard organizational assets.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Experience working with Deltek Vantagepoint is a must
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA designation preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or the AEC industry strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Time & Expense, FAR and GSA
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse complex financial data and interpret results effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of driving cross-functional collaboration and achieving financial objectives.
Experience in government contracting, aerospace, or engineering industries preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial software
Salary: $8-$10 USD Per hour
