The individual will also demonstrate professional development and responsibility. The incumbent will perform related duties as assigned.Position Details:This position is located at Mercy HealthTracks

Will consider Physical Therapist Physical Therapist - Athletic Trainer

Springfield, MOMinimum Qualifications for Physical Therapist:

Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.


Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements:
Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Minimum Qualifications for Physical Therapist-Athletic Trainer:
Education: Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited physical therapy program with a doctorate degree.
Licensure: State of practice license for Physical Therapy. State of practice licensure for athletic training.
Certification must have one of the following:
Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC) Certification
Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) for Physical Therapy


Other Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
Performs patient care and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed.
Adapts to varying work hours and travel required throughout the year.
Has knowledge of various equipment such as: Therapeutic Modalities, Thermal and Electric Modalities, Computer, Dictaphone, Cellular Phone, Therapeutic Equipment.
