We are proud to provide a full spectrum of consumer product testing services, accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 by A2LA and accepted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). You will be responsible for preparing samples, performing tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring all work complies with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and applicable regulatory methods such as ASTM F963, SOR 2011 and EN 71. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a team, learning new skills, and being part of a mission-driven lab that protects consumers.

Responsibilities:

·         Conduct routine physical mechanical and flammability testing according to internal SOPs and standardized methods.

·         Prepare samples for chemical analysis

·         Record test results accurately and maintain detailed documentation.

·         Clean, maintain, and organize laboratory workspaces and equipment.

·         Verify laboratory instruments and scales to ensure accuracy.

·         Keep customer samples and job documentation organized throughout the testing process.

·         Assist other technicians and support staff with tasks and cross-training.

·         Participate in general lab duties and support projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

·         High School diploma or equivalent.

·         Competent with basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Email, etc.).

·         Comfortable using basic hand tools, balances, scales, and calibrated lab equipment.

·         Able to lift 50 lbs. easily and up to 75 lbs. or more occasionally.

·         Team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn a must!

Preferred:

·         Associate degree in Materials Science,  or a related lab/technical field OR relevant work experience.

·         Prior laboratory or product testing experience (a plus, but not required).

·         Interest in regulatory standards and quality systems (e.g., CPSC, ASTM, ISO 17025).

Benefits:

 ·  Willing to train the right person – no prior lab experience required.

·   Opportunity to grow with a reputable, mission-driven company.

·   Competitive pay based on experience and market standards.

·    Paid vacation and potential for advancement within the company.

·    Health Insurance options
