Senior Helpers McKinney is urgently hiring a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver in Allen, Plano, McKinney, and surrounding areas. This position is open for  8-12 hours of shift role in the healthcare/medical industry, and the individual will be responsible for providing assistance and care to senior clients in their homes. The main objective of this role is to improve the quality of life for our clients by promoting independence and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, transferring (getting in and out of bed or a chair), walking, toileting, and eating.
  • Support clients with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), such as managing medications and finances, meal preparation, housekeeping, and laundry, ensuring they can live independently.
  • Provide compassionate, person-centered care tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community activities, fostering independence and engagement.
  • Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to encourage socialization, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and caregiving guidelines to maintain a high standard of care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Respect and maintain client privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional, verifiable experience working with seniors
  • Valid driver’s license and current car insurance
  • Reliable personal transportation for client visits and errands
  • Social Security Card (required for employment verification)
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable with a strong work ethic
  • Passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in seniors' lives
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to engage with clients and their families
  • A desire to give back to the community and support seniors in maintaining their independence
