Job Description:
Position: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Griffin, Georgia
Job Summary:
The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for developing harnesses, cables, and electrical schematics for Marine propulsion systems, auxiliary engines, marine gensets, and related electronic products.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and maintain harness assemblies, wiring groups, and related electrical components.
  • Develop harness designs for new products and coordinate design updates for existing systems.
  • Create and maintain Engineering Data System (EDS) and GPGR models.
  • Support assembly, quality, and manufacturing teams with troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Conduct design reviews, technical presentations, and engineering deep dives.
  • Develop best practices for harness creation, drawing standards, and engineering documentation.
  • Assist with training team members and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in electrical/harness design.
  • Strong experience with harness design and electrical schematics.
  • Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Creo, ProE, or similar.
  • Experience with EDS and TeamCenter.
  • Knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and develop electrical schematics.
  • Experience designing light structures such as brackets and sensor mounting systems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
