Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Google Cloud Platform Data Lead Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), BigQuery, and advanced SQL. The role requires hands-on experience in data pipeline development, data warehousing, and performance optimization, along with the ability to lead technical efforts and mentor junior team members.


Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Google Cloud Platform Development

  • Design, build, and maintain Google Cloud Platform data pipelines (Dataflow, Dataform)
  • Work extensively with BigQuery for analytics and data processing
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
  • Handle structured and unstructured data processing

Data Warehouse & Performance Optimization

  • Implement and maintain enterprise data warehouse (EDW) solutions
  • Analyze and optimize simple to complex SQL queries for performance improvement
  • Ensure data consistency, scalability, and reliability

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Diagnose and resolve complex data and pipeline issues
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions
  • Respond to technical queries from stakeholders and team members

Development & DevOps Practices

  • Follow SDLC and Agile (SAFe) methodologies
  • Work with version control tools (Bitbucket or similar)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an onsite environment

Leadership & Stakeholder Interaction
