A PM&R Physician, also known as a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) doctor or physiatrist, is a medical specialist focused on diagnosing, treating, and managing conditions that affect movement and function. They help patients recover from injuries, illnesses, or disabilities that impact the muscles, bones, and nervous system. PM&R Physicians create comprehensive rehabilitation plans that may include physical therapy, medications, and other interventions to improve quality of life and restore function.
