Job Title: Shipping and Receiving AssociateJob DescriptionThe Shipping and Receiving Associate supports daily distribution operations by accurately picking, packing, shipping, and receiving orders in a regulated warehouse environment. This role ensures products are stored, handled, and shipped in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient facility.
Responsibilities
- Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) consistently in all shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities.
- Demonstrate and uphold the company’s mission and values in day-to-day work.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for distribution, warehouse, and quality-related tasks.
- Pick, pack, and ship distribution orders that require a basic skill level, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Screen shipments for unauthorized devices in accordance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements.
- Execute distribution and warehouse system transactions, including order processing, inventory movements, and shipment confirmations.
- Process all orders according to the priority set by distribution leadership to meet required delivery dates.
- Verify proper storage conditions for products, including monitoring and documenting temperature requirements for shipments.
- Load couriers’ trucks using pallet jacks and other approved material-handling equipment in a safe manner.
- Identify and communicate opportunities to improve overall quality, efficiency, and workflow within the distribution area.
- Participate in daily management activities and maintain 5S standards to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Ensure that inventory is properly, safely, and securely stored, labeled, and handled to prevent damage or loss.
- Maintain the warehouse in a condition that promotes safety, security, neatness, and operational readiness.
- Perform picking, packing, shipping, and receiving tasks using RF scanners and related warehouse technologies.
- Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts and stock verification, to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Operate or assist with forklift operations if qualified, following all safety and operational guidelines.
- Collaborate with Distribution, Quality Assurance, Client Services, and Supply Chain teams to resolve issues and support on-time order fulfillment.
- Enter and verify data for orders and inventory transactions with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Essential Skills- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work overtime when business volume requires additional labor hours.
- Physical ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs and up to 75 lbs and to safely use pallet jacks.
- Willingness to spend extended periods of time walking, standing, entering data, and handling inventory items.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team within Distribution and in coordination with Quality Assurance, Client Services, and Supply Chain departments.
- Basic computer competency, including use of Microsoft Office applications and significant data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in order processing and inventory tasks.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment while using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Commitment to following Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Forklift experience or certification is preferred.
- Prior experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical or clinical logistics is an advantage.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes, including cycle counting.
- Experience using RF scanners and basic warehouse management systems.

Work Environment
The role is based in a distribution facility with loading and unloading docks, supporting inbound and outbound shipments. Work may involve extended periods of standing, walking, and handling products, with occasional overtime based on operational volume.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.35/hr.
