Software Developer 1 - (Java, Spring Boot, REST)

Clearance: TS/SCI - Polygraph required
Position ID: 20-3-010-SWE1
Location: Fort Meade, Maryland

Description:

This role will be on a fast-moving software engineering team supporting a microservice ecosystem with several UIs. Project management is done using feature driven development. The team is highly collaborative, and engineers are encouraged to help drive system design. The candidate will be working with mission very closely and interacting with customers daily.

  • Develop and maintain Java microservice web applications.
  • Work closely with tech lead on technical decisions and product roadmap.
  • Resolve challenging software engineering design problems.
  • Interact with the customer to resolve issues and propose new features.
  • Support testing and deployment of production applications.

Position Required Skills:

  • Experience with design, debugging, and problem solving with Java.
  • Experience with RESTful web applications.
  • Experience with Spring Boot.
  • Experience interacting with MongoDB or similar database technology.
  • Experience with Automated testing.

Nice to Haves

  • Full stack experience including UI development with JavaScript (Vue.js).
  • Experience with Kafka.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Linux administration.
  • Experience with automated build tools, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.

Salary Range: **$163k-$199k (Annually)

**The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
