Job description

Responsibilities

We are urgently hiring for an Electrical Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will possess working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and fabrication, and will be a self‑motivated team player.

Starting Rate at $30.25 per hour plus shift differential, monthly bonus, medical begins on day one, many other benefits.

Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Diagnose and repair electrical equipment and components such as motors, drives, relays, starters, and other related electrical devices for industrial equipment.
  • Provide technical support for all electrical process equipment.
  • Perform all tasks and duties necessary for efficient start‑ups, daily operation, change‑over and shut‑downs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production machines, electrical systems, heating, cooling and steam systems, material‑handling equipment, plumbing, hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
  • Perform maintenance tasks and tasks directed by plant supervision on all equipment.
  • Complete work orders as required.
  • Respond efficiently to maintenance calls on the production floor.
  • Assist in providing installation of new machinery.
  • Inventory spare parts and report usage; suggest re‑order to maintenance lead.
  • Maintain neat and orderly work area, properly maintain tools.
Qualifications

Preferred Job Qualification Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Current working knowledge of 480V, 3‑phase electricity.
  • Experience with programmable controllers (PLC’s) and Honeywell process controls.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and reading electrical/mechanical schematics.
  • Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems and ability and knowledge of gauges and measurements.
  • Machining, welding, fabrication and millwright experience is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate with production operators and other maintenance technicians to be able to explain mechanical processes and root causes.
  • Strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Must be a self‑starter and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Interpersonal skills that demonstrate teamwork.
  • Good problem‑solving abilities and result‑oriented.
  • Lead by examples always (no safety violations, use proper PPE, show up to work on time).
  • Must follow and abide by Company policies.
  • Must maintain good attendance.
  • Must be able to become certified in fork‑lift, scissor‑lift, and other material handling equipment.
  • Availability to work overtime and during off‑shift hours as needed.
  • Availability to be called‑in for emergencies as needed.
  • This position requires use of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
  • Individual must be a Citizen of the United States, or Permanent resident alien of the United States, or Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) (22 CFR §120.15.).
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to walk, bend, pull and push without assistance (example: brace, cane).
  • Capable of walking and standing for up to twelve (12) hours per day.
  • Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment.
  • Frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel material.
  • Constant use of hand/fingers to grasp, pinch, pull, feel or handle and manipulate parts and tools.
  • Constant requirement of specific vision abilities including close vision, distant vision, depth perception.
  • Constantly wear appropriate PPE including but not limited to eye and foot protection.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, and around machinery and chemicals.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. using proper lifting techniques and Company‑provided equipment.
