Job description

Code Red Safety is looking for a Safety Supervisor to support maintenance operations at a manufacturing plant in Summit, IL.Our client provides maintenance services for this plant, and they need a Safety Supervisor to enforce all safety policies.You will be involved with field observations and audits, as well as training, record keeping and report writing.This job will start ASAP on a 1099 through Code Red Safety working 40 hours/week.After 6 months, performance pending, our client is open to hiring the candidate directly as their W2 employee.The current work schedule is Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm.Local candidates only as there is no per diem available.
Applicants MUST meet the following requirements:
  • Have 5+ years of field safety management experience (general industry experience preferred)
  • Must have one of the following certifications: OSHA 30, OSHA 510, OSHA 500, CSSS, CSST, CHST, COSS, CSHO or similar
  • Must be able to pass a drug test & background check.
