The ARK of DC empowers people living with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders to live, work, and integrate successfully into the community. Responsibilities of the Supported Employment Specialist

  • Provide high quality vocational supports including resume building & job development
  • Network with local employers to educate them on hiring incentive benefits
  • Assists clients in maintaining employment by frequent visits to the work site

Qualifications of the Supported Employment Specialist

  • Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience can be substituted
  • The use of a personal vehicle to assist clients as needed is required
