Oil & Gas Contract Title Attorney

Location: Houston, TX
Experience: 3+ years

Our client, a prominent full-service law firm with a nationally recognized energy practice, is seeking an Oil & Gas Contract Title Attorney to join its Houston office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with Texas mineral title expertise looking to work on sophisticated upstream transactions and emerging CCUS matters.

What You'll Work On:

  • Conduct mineral title examinations and prepare leasehold title opinions
  • Perform due diligence and support curative and documentation work
  • Draft and negotiate JOAs, PSAs, farm-out/farm-in agreements, servitudes, conveyances, and other upstream energy contracts
  • Assist with CCUS-related work, including sequestration servitudes, lease agreements, and regulatory compliance
  • Work closely with clients, landmen, in-house counsel, and regulators
  • Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in oil and gas, mineral title, energy transactions, property law, or related regulatory areas
  • Texas mineral law expertise and experience drafting Texas title opinions strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet a 1,900 billable hour requirement
