Job description

Upstate Construction and Development Services is currently seeking Project Lead candidates assisting with project nationwide!

*THIS IS AN OVERNIGHT POSITION* EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION REQUIRED*

A qualified candidate will have experience in store remodels / resets, merchandising and fixture installation.

Responsibilities:

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Lead and supervise construction crews on-site to ensure timely and high-quality execution of retail and commercial construction projects.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Coordinate daily project activities, and resolve site issues efficiently.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Interpret floor plans, and planograms to guide construction work and verify compliance.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Communicate with project managers, vendors, and clients to ensure expectations are met.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Oversee safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance on all job sites.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Train and mentor team members, supporting skill development and adherence to performance standards.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Maintain accurate documentation including daily field reports, time sheets, and progress updates.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Travel to multiple retail locations as needed; overnight stays may be required


Qualifications:

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 2+ years in a construction leadership or supervisory role, preferably in retail or commercial environments.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Strong knowledge of construction/Merchandising ย processes, tools, and safety regulations.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Ability to lead by example, motivate teams, and manage job site logistics.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as project needs demand.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / JOB REQUIREMENTS -

  • Must have the ability to work with crews during reset/remodel,
  • meeting time expectations while maintaining work quality and safety .
  • Applicants must have a valid driver's license with a clean record.ย 
  • Must own, have the knowledge of, and the ability to use hand tools including power tools.
  • Must be able to travel to any US work locationย 
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends and be out of town for extended periods of time if the work requires.ย 
  • *Prior construction experience a plus Experience desired includes - home improvement stores, big box retail, pharmacy, planograms, national rollouts, remodel, gondola, new stores, and experience with national racking standardsย  Gondola / Retail Fixture installation.
  • Deep understanding of merchandising

  • Starting Rate for crew lead: $20/hr and up with a 90-day review
