Established in 1999, Republic Paperboard Company occupies a 70-acre site in the industrial park in Lawton, Oklahoma. Republic Paperboard’s core business is manufacturing the face and back paper used to produce gypsum wallboard. We also manufacture brown and white bag papers as well as high-performance linerboard products used in the manufacture of boxes.CORE VALUES

Responsibility included:

Safety

  • Assure all work is done in a safe manner and all PPE is properly used and maintained.
  • Maintain safe operation and condition of mobile equipment.
  • Assure that lockout/tagout procedures are always followed when work/maintenance is being performed in an area.
  • Assure that area will pass safety and housekeeping inspection daily.
  • Notice and mark any wet areas in regular traffic areas.

Operations

  • Assist all areas and operators as work, conditions, and situations demand.
  • Assist with machine clothing changes and machine thread-ups.
  • Assist crew members during startups and shutdowns, as needed.
  • Clean up assigned areas in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist in vacation and personal day coverage.
  • Provide coverage to support training processes.
  • Train up to next level when not needed on machine or in basement.

Maintenance

  • Inspect and monitor mobile equipment on timely basis.
  • Inspect and adjust fluid levels on mobile equipment at the beginning of each shift.
  • Complete mobile equipment checklist.
  • Assure mobile equipment is fueled in a proper manner.
  • Assist maintenance in performing maintenance repairs as required.
  • Submit needed maintenance work requests to area operator and/or maintenance and Crew Leader in a detailed and timely manner.

Communication/Coordination

  • Communicate and coordinate with operators in the area, as needed.
  • Promote smooth and effective shift changes.
  • Communicate major problems or issues with the Crew Leader.

Variance Control

  • Identify and communicate operational conditions that continually cause cleanup situations.
