Description

Purpose of the Job: 

Perform shipping, receiving, and daily warehouse activities as it pertains to the operations of the Repair Station.


Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily warehouse activities using a computerized inventory control system, Pentagon 2000.
  • Locating, unpacking IAW the applicable standards, checking applicable paperwork to ensure conformity, overall condition of the material, ensuring that all contents of the packaging have been removed, and receiving material into inventory as per the applicable transaction requirements.
  • Locating, picking, checking, staging, assembling, packaging, labeling, palletizing, and preparing customer orders for shipment
  • Preparing and routing domestic and international shipments
  • Performing a detailed visual incoming inspection and verification of Customer paperwork upon receipt of the material
  • Checking condition of items, comparing the count/measure of items to the purchase order and packing list, for accuracy while noting discrepancies
  • Determining method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment.
  • Scanning, digitizing, and attaching related documents to inventory control management system
  • Material handling duties as directed while always maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Cycle counting and matching the physical inventory with the inventory data in the system

Requirements

  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to use a forklift
  • Positive attitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Experience with UPS, Fed Ex, and DHL a plus
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work well under pressure

  • Aerospace Industry Quality Training, FAA 145, Traceability, 8130- 3 documents, ESD, Suspected Unapproved Parts, Shelf Life/LLP's, AD's, ATA Spec 300, PMA Parts, Direct Ship Authority, Repair Stations, and Standard Terminology
  • Forklift certification (If needed)
  • Hazmat Training/Dangerous Goods (For HazMat Specialists)
  • Other Trainings as assigned
  • 90 Day Probation OJT
