Job description

The Warehouse Team Supervisor is empowered with adequate authority to exercise the required duties and responsibilities of the position to ensure that all work performed meets or exceeds Goodierโ€™s standards for safety, quality, productivity, and conduct.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead warehouse team to accomplish daily/monthly/quarterly priorities set by Goodier management.
  • Maintain department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.
  • Work with Manufacturing Manager on reporting all appropriate metrics and leading a review at team meetings weekly.
  • Train and develop new hires.
  • Responsible for helping team accomplish all shipping, receiving, and warehousing activities in a timely manner
  • Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking for shipment as needed
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat, swept, dusted, and mopped.
  • Maintains all battery-operated machinery weekly/quarterly maintenance tags and checklists
  • Always organize warehouse and work area(s) for orderliness and keeping up-to-date cleaning logs
  • Leads team in adhering to all company policies/guidelines, advocates proper process and procedures, and promotes a safety-first culture in the workplace.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations.
  • Supervise all warehouse personnel.
  • Work with Manufacturing Manager on timely closing of any/all warehouse-related quality incidents, investigations and QMS activity tasks
  • Coordinates with Manufacturing Manager and Inventory Control Specialist for any/all inventory activities, follow-ups, corrective actions, etc.
  • Coordinates all waste pick-ups and waste activity with Manufacturing Manager and Inventory Control Specialist
  • Coordinates any/all inbound and outbound scheduling with internal and external clients & vendors
  • Other duties as required.

Qualification requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a warehouse position
  • Must have experience driving a forklift (sitting down and stand up)
  • Knowledge of warehouse operating procedures and protocol with proven supervisory and leadership skills preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with personnel of all levels within the organization
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and scanners
  • Proven superior customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge and ability to operate inventory control and related computer software
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Personable, enthusiastic, ambitious, team-oriented, and able to lead by example
  • Ability to adjust and refocus in a dynamic and ever-changing environment
  • Ability to make good decisions in a timely manner based on analysis, experience, and judgment
