Job description

Join a leading company in the industry, committed to delivering the right product to the right customer, on time, every time. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Overhead Crane Operator to join our team. This role is integral to our operations, involving the operation of an overhead crane to unload incoming materials, load press lines, and assist in warehouse maintenance. We value team players who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.

Responsibilities
  • Unload incoming material from carriers using an overhead crane
  • Inspect incoming material unloaded with overhead crane
  • Document details such as weight, width, location, and any defects or damage on incoming material
  • Load press line and unload rail cars
  • Perform warehouse maintenance tasks
  • Transfer coils from warehouse to main building
  • Assist in locating material and provide support in the absence of other crane operators
  • Perform Die changes and assist press operator with job set-ups
  • Load coils into press line and complete projects as assigned
  • Ensure quality and safety by having the authority to stop production if necessary
Qualifications
  • Ability to operate a crane and drive a hi-lo
  • Experience with C-Hook and handling steel coils (50,000+lb)
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships with fellow staff members
