Position Overview:
As an LTL Pick-up and Delivery Driver at Diamond Line Delivery Systems, Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely transportation of Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipments. You will be responsible for picking up and delivering freight to and from various locations, contributing to our commitment to exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate company vehicles to pick up and deliver LTL shipments in accordance with established routes and schedules.
• Must be able to lift and move freight of up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, and operating equipment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Load and unload freight with precision, ensuring the secure transportation of goods.
• Provide excellent customer service by maintaining professional and courteous interactions with clients during pick-ups and deliveries.
• Utilize electronic logging devices and other technology to track and document shipments accurately.
• Collaborate with dispatch and other team members to optimize delivery routes and ensure on-time performance.
• Adhere to all transportation and safety regulations, including but not limited to DOT guidelines.
Qualifications:
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Class A CDL license with Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles / Triples endorsement Preferred.
• Previous experience in LTL pick-up and delivery is preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle physical demands of loading and unloading freight.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
