Job description

At Les Espaces Memoria, our role extends far beyond providing funeral services. We guide individuals and families through important decisions with compassion, respect, and care. Every interaction is an opportunity to build trust and offer solutions that provide peace of mind and comfort.

Choosing Les Espaces Memoria means using your talent to support a deeply human mission. It also means working in an environment where strong relationships, authenticity, and respect for each family’s needs are at the heart of everything we do.

Are you dynamic, entrepreneurial, and results-driven? Do you enjoy developing a territory, building new relationships, and turning prospecting efforts into business opportunities? This position could be your next professional challenge.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable with performance-based compensation, capable of taking ownership of market development, and motivated to meet and exceed their goals.

You may be the right fit if…

  • You enjoy developing a territory and building a network;
  • You are comfortable reaching out to prospective clients;
  • You are motivated by goals and results;
  • You can bounce back from rejection and remain persistent;
  • You are comfortable managing your schedule and priorities;
  • You want to use your sales expertise to support a deeply human mission.

Your Role

As a Prearrangement Advisor, you will be responsible for developing your client base and guiding families in selecting solutions tailored to their needs with sensitivity, professionalism, and respect.

  • Actively develop a territory and identify new business opportunities;
  • Prospect among potential clients, groups, organizations, and partners;
  • Build and maintain a network of contacts to generate referrals and sales opportunities;
  • Take the initiative to connect with prospective clients rather than relying solely on inbound inquiries;
  • Assess families’ needs and recommend suitable prearrangement plans, as well as cemetery products and services;
  • Present and sell cemetery plots, niches, crypts, and scattering services;
  • Participate in business development activities, including trade shows, conferences, events, and presentations;
  • Maintain an active presence in the community to promote the company’s services;
  • Conduct structured follow-ups with prospective clients and families;
  • Meet established sales targets and contribute to market growth;
  • Keep client records up to date and complete sales-related administrative follow-ups.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma;
  • A minimum of two years of experience in sales, business development, or a role involving revenue targets;
  • Experience in real estate, insurance, financial services, automotive sales, or another commission-based sales environment is a strong asset;
  • Demonstrated experience in prospecting and client-base development;
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets;
  • Comfortable working within a performance-based compensation structure;
  • Entrepreneurial, persistent, and action-oriented;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build trust;
  • Ability to develop your own market and work with a high degree of autonomy;
  • Strong listening skills, tact, and the ability to discuss sensitive topics respectfully;
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and calendar-management skills;
  • Fluency in French and English is essential;
  • Proficiency in a third language is considered an asset;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfort using digital tools;
  • A valid Class 5 driver’s licence and access to a vehicle are required;
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Greater Montreal and the surrounding areas.

Employment Conditions

  • Regular position;
  • Territory development responsibilities throughout Greater Montreal and Repentigny;
  • Frequent travel to meet clients and visit various funeral complexes;
  • Performance-based compensation program specifically designed for Prearrangement Advisors;
  • Opportunity to actively grow your earning potential;
  • Flexible schedule based on client needs and business development activities;
  • Daytime, evening, and occasional weekend availability required;
  • Participation in a rotating weekend on-call schedule.
