NIC Partners is in need of a Warehouse Associate/Driver
The Warehouse Associate/Driver works as part of the warehouse operations team, performing general warehouse duties including loading, unloading, and updating records. The job includes making prompt and courteous deliveries and/or pick-ups of materials/equipment and packages from one location to another, usually from warehouses, suppliers, customers, or project sites. Performs all job responsibilities in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. Must be 21 to be eligible.
Essential Job Functions:
 
  • Knows the location of material/equipment in the warehouse.
  • Ensures warehouse is clean and organized at all times; maintains clear aisles and walkways
  • Delivers materials to projects as needed
  • Create transmittals for inventory being delivered when one is not provided
  • Loads trucks accurately and safely for material/equipment deliveries
  • Unloads equipment at customer location and/or project site
  • Obtain the appropriate transmittal sign-off
  • Drives company vehicle for material/equipment deliveries or pick-ups, obeys traffic laws and safety procedures. Maintains appropriate licensing, credentials and acceptable driving record.
  • Ensures that company vehicles and equipment remain clean, tidy and in good working condition
  • Retrieves material from the warehouse and other locations
  • Operates warehouse equipment and vehicles, including trucks, forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Backup to Warehouse Associate
    • Inspects shipments of materials, equipment and supplies received in order to ensure compliance with purchase order specifications. Identifies and reports shortages, defects/damages and other discrepancies.
    • Checks in and puts away material, verifying quantities and quality of received material. Ensures material is organized in storage in an efficient, effective and safe manner to conserve space and comply with safety procedures
    • Packages and ships materials to projects
    • Assists in periodic physical inventory audits of warehoused items and assets as required; updates inventory records and reports discrepancies
  • Always conduct oneself professionally and ethically. Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
  • Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner, following safe lifting practices to avoid injuries. Inform the manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training as directed or desired.
  • Perform other responsibilities as directed.
Experience/Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience working in warehousing, receiving, inventory control, materials management, or a similar industry
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California driver's license.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse logistics, inventory accountability, asset control, shipping, and receiving management
  • Forklift certification and/or ability to complete forklift training and operate machinery safely according to company protocol
Pay Range $22-$24 per hour
