Job description

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Collections Manager/Store Manager

Job overview:

Looking for motivated, results-oriented driver helper that maintain a passion for excellence, strong work ethic and appreciate a structured, fast paced environment. One must also possess a focus on people with great customer service skills, and a passion and pride about serving and giving back to one’s community.

Full time, first shift, fixed schedule with weekend work. Job can be physically demanding and require some heavy lifting but can be rewarding as well. Good job for returning military.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service to all donors and customers
  • Help the driver build, sustain, maintain donation box and donation station sites for collections.
  • Help assist on two-man residential special routes, garage sales pick-ups, estates sale pick-ups, and fundraiser drive pick-ups.
  • Assist with collection box and trailer site placements and removals
  • Help unload collections from truck(s) at the end of the routes.
  • Maintain clean and orderly donation sites and routes based on company operational protocols and standards
  • Work safely and efficiently in loading and unloading trucks and trailers
  • Possess the ability to regularly work in the heat, the cold and in wet weather conditions
  • Job can be physically demanding and required some heavy lifting but can be rewarding as well.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess valid state driver’s license.
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Applicant must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Capable of bending, stooping, crouching, pushing, pulling and climbing stairs and in and out of a truck frequently.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Degree, GED or equivalent work experiences.
