Description
OB anesthesiologist opportunity to practice at UPMC Hamot. The UPMC Hamot Medical Center is a regional tertiary-care medical facility, referral hub, and Level II trauma center based in Erie, PA. Here, the focus is on healing, health, high quality, and education. With over 400 beds, the hospital provides an extensive range of inpatient and outpatient services for the community. UPMC Hamot has almost 4,000 employees, including over 650 members on the medical team. Diverse case mixes at sites which include a women's hospital, two surgery centers, a community hospital, and a Level 2 trauma center. The anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and surgeons at UPMC Hamot have an excellent rapport. Together, our team works in a care team model approach. Our care team model means that we focus on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence.

Salary: $565K annually

Case Assignments
• Schedule: Various available. A combination of in-house and beeper call (approximately 1x/week). Post-call day off.
• Ortho, neuro, general surgery, transplants, OBGYN, and more
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership
Requirements
• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Completion of Anesthesiology Residency
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Current medical licensure
• ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable)
