Job Summary
This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence in daily terminal operations while upholding Precision's safety standards and promoting a positive work culture. Support team performance and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards. Success in this role requires exceptional interpersonal skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Operational
Conducting ongoing assessments of operational work in progress to detect and rectify deficiencies, including measures for damage and loss prevention. Perform a final review upon completion to ensure adherence to AAR, Customer, and Company standards for quality, efficiency, and compliance.
Performing regular inspections of shuttle vans to uphold cleanliness standards in accordance with company guidelines.
Daily inspections of work areas to identify and address any safety hazards promptly, taking necessary corrective measures and reporting hazards to the relevant department or manager as per protocol.
Ensuring all vehicles are handled with the highest quality standards to eliminate damage and ensure loss prevention.
Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and duties as assigned to support operational needs.
Supervisory
Allocating team member responsibilities to optimize resource utilization, including manpower, yard equipment, and supplies.
Engaging in regular communication with team members and customers to ensure clarity on shipping objectives and targets while relaying this information to all other relevant parties.
Engaging in personnel-related activities including timekeeping, payroll data entry, recruitment, training, performance evaluation, disciplinary proceedings, and investigations.
Daily review of site SMDS board with support staff and hourly personnel.
Authority to administer corrective and disciplinary actions for direct reports in accordance with company policy.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Proficiency in interpreting and administering Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Computer proficiency is essential, particularly in Microsoft 365.
Automotive logistics background including vehicle transport methods, route planning, scanner inventory, best practice safety management, IT-based vehicle and inventory management systems.
Leadership experience including performance management, deployment of operations strategy, team accountability, organization and direction of resources, managing short notice tactical changes.
