Job description

CBS Atlanta is building a brand-new team, and we’re looking for highly skilled photojournalists. This role will maneuver a jib camera to create dynamic and creative shots in our full ARVR studio environment. This position will also support our newsroom operations across linear, digital, and streaming platforms.

The role also may include shooting, editing, setting up live shots, using professional audio equipment, working independently or alongside anchors/reporters, and maintaining high journalistic standards. Candidates must be able to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements
  • B.A. degree in a related field is preferred. Three to five years of professional Jib Camera/Photography/Editing experience in a major market is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Atlanta area is preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to edit all nonlinear systems with broadcast quality. Satellite uplink truck experiences are a plus!
  • Must maintain a Driver’s License in good standing.
  • Physical Demands: This physical job requires the candidate to be physically fit to avoid injuries.
  • Carry and set up ENG equipment often weighing 50lbs.
  • Drive news vehicles to news story locations, and edit footage in confined areas/space.
