Event Sales Ambassador (w/ a Sense of Humor) - 1099 Contract

Shinesty

Denver, CO • On-site

Contractor

Re-posted 26 days ago

Job description

We are Shinesty. Our mission is to force the world to take itself less seriously. We make outlandish clothing-from retro ski suits to Hawaiian shirts to our famous Ball Hammock underwear. We make people laugh first and sell second. Our mothers don't always approve of what we do, but the millions of people we've entertained over the years do. We are looking for weekend warriors to be the face of Shinesty at local fairs, festivals, rodeos, and farmers markets.

The Role

We need 1-2 confident, extroverted go-getters to run our booth at upcoming weekend events, starting with Parker Days (June 12th - 14th). You aren't just ringing up shirts; you are a brand ambassador, a crowd-gatherer, and a closer. If you can strike up a conversation with a stranger, make them laugh, and seamlessly upsell them on matching apparel, we want you.

Requirements

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Selling: Hooking in foot traffic, pitching our gear, and closing sales like a champion.
  • Entertaining: Engaging customers with a smile, a joke, and a positive attitude.
  • Booth Management: Handling setup, teardown, and keeping the merchandise looking sharp and restocked throughout the chaos of the event.
  • Representing: Acting as the ultimate hype-person for the Shinesty brand in the wild.

The Details (Parker Days Event):

  • Friday, June 12th: 4:00 PM - 10:30 PM (plus setup)
  • Saturday, June 13th: 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM
  • Sunday, June 14th: 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM (plus teardown)
  • Note: We can be somewhat flexible on shift splitting, but ideally, we want someone who can conquer all 2-3 days.

Who You Are:

  • A Natural Seller: You have retail, event, or direct sales experience and a quantifiable track record of crushing goals.
  • Incredibly Likable: You are extroverted, get energy from crowds, and don't take yourself too seriously.
  • A Hustler: You are willing to stand on your feet, handle the elements, and grind out long weekend hours for the love of the sale (and the commission).
  • Reliable: You show up on time, communicate clearly, and take ownership of your booth.

Benefits

Compensation:

  • This is a 1099 Contractor role.
  • Pay will be highly competitive and heavily tied to your hustle. Let's discuss what motivates you during the interview!
