Join our team in New England, where we prioritize quality and safety in the utility industry.As a Gas Line Safety Technician, your primary responsibility is to inspect gas meters and underground gas lines to detect leaks and corrosion. This involves visually examining the equipment and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately

You'll need to arrive on time for your shifts and report any unusual findings correctly.These are full time Monday-Friday 7:00 Am to 3:30 Pm positions, with occasional overtime and weekend work. No experience. No problem

Walking between 3 and 4 miles per day on varying types of terrain in all types of weather. Once an indication of a leak is found, a 5-pound plunger bar is used to punch holes in the ground so that an instrument probe can be inserted into the ground to measure the concentration of natural gas as part of the investigation procedure. The plunger bar is similar to a fence post driver.

Ability to use Simple Hand Tools. Work effectively both within a group and individually. Ability to use and understand utility maps.

Proficient at using technology (smartphone, tablet). Must pass a Drug Screen Test, provide a valid driver's License, and have a safe driving record. CORI (Criminal Background) Check Required.

Must pass Operator Qualification Test / Part of Training. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Travel Requirements Travel is primarily locally during the business day although some out of the area travel and overnight may be required from time to time.
