Job Description

Position Summary:ย 

Under the supervision of the Senior Regional Grants Officer, Middle East, the Intern will assist in report and proposal editing, writing program summaries, and other programmatic or administrative tasks as assigned.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Edit and assist in writing reports, proposals, and other program materials for RI programs in the Middle East.
  • Review grant files and contribute to file management and organization, especially for 2017 and 2018 closed projects.
  • Assist the Regional Grants Officer in coordinating the review of grant documents with the global Grants and Contracts Unit (GCU).
  • Conduct research related to program sectors and/or context.
  • Assist Regional Program Officer in academic institute outreach for disability inclusion research.
  • Assist in administrative duties, as needed.
Qualifications

Qualifications & requirements:ย 

This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated interest and knowledge of the humanitarian/non-profit sector and current events in Middle East.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • 20-40 hours weekly; M-F varied schedule (Full time preferred)
  • Professional experience strongly preferredย ย ย 
  • Computer literacy and exemplary internet research skill
  • Arabic language skills a plus
Additional Information

Salary:ย ย Unpaid, daily transportation stipend and academic credit available.ย  Relocation is not offered.
