      • Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using COBOL on mainframe systems
      • Work with JCL, CICS, and DB2 for batch and online processing
      • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
      • Support billing systems, customer systems, and energy management platforms
      • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely fixes
      • Participate in system testing, code reviews, and deployments
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, QA, operations)
      • Strong experience in COBOL programming
      • Hands-on with JCL (Job Control Language)
      • Experience with CICS and DB2
      • Knowledge of mainframe environments (z/OS)
      • Debugging and performance tuning skills
      • Understanding of batch processing and job scheduling tools
      • Experience in utility or energy sector (nice to have)
      • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
      • Exposure to modernization tools or API integrations
      • Basic knowledge of Java/.NET (for hybrid environments)
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
      • Good communication and stakeholder interaction skills
      • Ability to work in a production support + development environment

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
