Job Summary

The candidate will contribute to the development and validation of innovative solutions, algorithms, protocols and systems addressing the challenges of future wireless systems, including heterogeneous network deployments in licensed and unlicensed spectrum, distributed connectivity, radio links at higher frequency ranges, ultra-reliable and low latency connectivity and support for new verticals for integrated applications. The Intern will have significant exposure and opportunity to the development of next generation wireless communication systems for both WLAN and cellular networks.

Responsibilities

The candidate will contribute to the team:

  • By carrying out design of physical layer and media access control layer and simulation for WLAN technologies and beyond - including evolutions of 802.11ax, 802.11be, 802.11bn and future Wi-Fi standards;

  • By actively participating in the 802.11 standardization process through the preparation of contributions and attending standard meetings

Qualifications

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (or similar / equivalent) is required

  • Knowledge and/or experience of foundation of wireless communications is required

  • Experience in link level and/or system level simulations and proficiency with MATLAB is required

  • Experience and/or knowledge of 802.11/Wi-Fi standards is desirable

  • Knowledge and experience of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is desirable

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, innovative, collaborative and team-oriented work environment
