AutoZone is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer as a Senior Engineer for Apigee, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions for our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and secure Apigee architectures, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Apigee technologies and possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Apigee solutions in a large-scale production environment.
  • Unix Shell Scripting and Ansible Experience.
    CI/CD experience (set up of CI/CD desirable).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Maintain documentation for the technical deliverables when applicable.
  • Prepare and participate in presentation and demonstrations of developed solutions.
  • Collaborate and work closely with other team members.
  • Participate in agile meetings such as but not limited to: sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily status meetings, story pointing.
  • Provide L2/L3 support for Apigee platform to ensure platform is highly available.
  • Working on production support Incidents/Service request/Changes and ensure SLAs are met.
  • Help consumers and IT stakeholders by providing solutions for the issues reported in the platform.
  • Lead root cause analysis session to understand Production issues and produce solutions that will prevent them from happening in the future.
  • Experience in monitor tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana, APPD.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Certifications such as Certified in Apigee, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, GCP or related certifications are a plus.
     
  • Design, develop, configure, and troubleshoot APIs and policies using Apigee X.
  • Defining overall API architecture/ implementations, integration and deployment of API management platforms and API security and Access control (SAML, Web SSO, SSL/TLS etc)
  • Knowledge of health checks & Monitoring for Apigee components and API using Various tool, Configuration management systems.
  • Apigee Gateway Knowledge and Cloud architecture and security.
  • Experience with High availability, load balancing and failover, DR configuration with Apigee.
  • Support & Upgrade Apigee Production/Non-Prod Environments.
  • Implementing API Best Practices and Performance Tuning.
  • Managing installation, configuration, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quick resolution of problems of the most complex nature.
  • Deployment of proxies and other artifacts of Apigee environment, configuration updates, log collection, health check and monitoring, etc.
  • Build and support the API during the full lifecycle.
