Client's Cloud Product Engineering team is looking for passionate and talented people to join our growing team. We work in a relaxed atmosphere with a flexible schedule. If you are interested in building complex Cloud Products and Services, then this is a position you will definitely enjoy. This is an exciting position with a group that has a startup mentality.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
• Produce quality documentation of use cases, business and technical solutions and concepts
• Present to and solicit feedback from various engineering, development and operations teams
• Work with product teams to understand requirements for new products and engineer solutions to provide.
• Work with existing engineering and operations teams to understand existing infrastructure and offering, and take advantage of current best practices
• Lead the development of offering proofs-of-concept and effectively transition those concepts to the lines of business for engineering, deployment and commercialization
• Conduct extensive research into emerging and existing technologies related to above strategic initiatives
Requirements
This role will be part of a small team of technology experts, each with differing areas of expertise. While the emphasis of this role will be focused on developing the long-term vision and POC's for future of Client's offerings, to be successful, the candidate will have significant background and technical knowledge in more than one of the following areas (or similar):
• We work with seven key technologies: Networking, Windows, Linux, Virtualization, OpenStack, Containers, and Storage. You should be strong in at least 4 of these technologies to apply
• Virtualization: Experience designing and managing large distributed virtual environments (VMware & KVM)
• Networking: Experience configuring and troubleshooting network devices (switches, routers, firewalls)
• Networking: Solid understanding of routing and switching
• Storage: Experience configuring storage (SAN and IP-based)
• Storage: Backups and data protection
• Linux/Unix: Experience managing Linux and or Unix servers, comfortable with a command line and vi.
• Linux/Unix: Shell scripting or more advanced programming
• Windows: Experience managing Windows and Active Directory Infrastructure
• Windows: PowerShell or other automation tools
Preferred Skills:
• Must have experience with OpenStack highly desired (Neutron, Nova, Cinder, RabbitMQ, and etc)
• Network virtualization
• MySQL Administration
• Cisco Nexus switches and Juniper routers and firewalls
• Prior experience creating cloud environments
• Service provider experience highly desired.
• Must have (AWS, OpenStack, Puppet, Chef, Python, PowerShell, Ruby, etc).
• Additionally, the successful candidate must possess the following:

• 3-5 years' experience working with enterprise IT or service provider environments
• Relevant ongoing education through certifications, formal or self-study
Working Conditions:
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Requires frequent sitting, standing, bending, stooping and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator and other office equipment as needed.
• Requires ability to work under stressful conditions and to work irregular hours.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Typical 40-hour workweek. There may be occasional need for additional working hours.
