Job description

Role :  Engineer – PLM

Location : Akron , OH
 

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer – PLM with over 10 years of experience in SDLC, STLC, and the PLM domain (CATIA V5 and V6). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SRE principles, IT infrastructure, operations, and hands-on experience supporting end-to-end services on PLM applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead functional and technical aspects of business process development, IT support, administration, maintenance, data migration, and data transfer activities for PLM systems.
  • Provide 24/7 production support as an L2 support engineer, handling critical application and infrastructure issues.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using SRE principles to improve system scalability and reliability, ensuring key SLAs and SLOs are met.
  • Perform performance testing (load, endurance, scalability, stress, and volume) using tools such as JMeter, Neoload, and BlazeMeter.
  • Conduct regression and validation processes, including smoke tests, manual testing, regression tests, and formal runs with new development builds.
  • Manage data migrations from Unix to Red Hat Linux (versions 8 and 9) with PKI infrastructure.
  • Document processes and solutions using JIRA and Confluence.
 

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in SDLC, STLC, and PLM domains.
  • Strong knowledge of PLM tools: 3DExperience, ADK, MQL, TCL.
  • Proficiency in programming languages: Core Java, JavaScript, XML, Python, Perl.
  • Experience with DevOps tools: Jenkins, JIRA, GIT.
  • Integration experience with SAP, Adlib, Virtual Showroom, Oxford.
  • Database and cloud experience: IBM DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS.
  • Experience in the automobile, healthcare, and banking industries.
  • Deep understanding of software development life cycle and test methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing and data migration.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
 

Education

  • Master of Science in Computer Information Systems.
  • Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering
 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CATIA V5, V6, and Delmia products.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code and SRE principles.
