Oracle SQL & Unix Application Support Engineer (Banking / AML / Production Support)
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle SQL, Unix, and Production Support to manage and support enterprise applications in a banking/financial services environment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in incident management, batch processing, and system monitoring, along with exposure to AML platforms and regulatory environments.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support & Incident Management
  • Provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise applications
  • Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents within SLAs
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure permanent fixes
Database & SQL Operations
  • Write and optimize Oracle SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and issue analysis
  • Support data-related incidents and performance tuning
Unix & Batch Processing
  • Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts
  • Monitor and manage batch jobs and scheduled processes
  • Handle failures in job scheduling systems (TWS, cron, etc.)
Application & Middleware Support
  • Support applications running on IBM WebSphere (v9.x)
