Position Summary

The Parking Ambassador is generally responsibleย forย the successful Iowa State Universityย guestย parking experience, including processingย cashless transactions andย validatingย pre-sold parking passes.ย The jobย also includesย directing vehicles into parking stalls and throughย locationย roadways and parking lotsย associated withย event guestsย at Iowa State University.ย 

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00

This position will remain open until September 25, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Match the guest's parking pass and provide real-time guidance to the parking location.
  • Process cashless guest payments.ย ย 
  • Direct vehiclesย onย campus roadways and through parking lotsย and toย parking stalls.ย 
  • Conduct routine vehicle inventory counts before and during events.ย ย 
  • Provide excellent customer serviceย byย assistingย guestsย and employeesย promptly and in a friendly manner.ย 
  • May perform other duties to ensure productive parking operations, including moving equipment such as traffic cones, barrels, delineators, movable signage, and barricades to ensure efficient operations.ย 
  • Followย andย comply withย safety regulationsand standards.ย 
  • Provideย basicย parking lot upkeep,ย including sweeping and light litter removal. ย 
  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure productive operations, quality service,ย and customer satisfaction.ย 
Qualifications
  • High school education or equivalent.ย 
  • Must have 1 year of previous experience in a parking-related role. ย 
  • Basic arithmetic skills.ย 
  • Core customerย communication skills.ย 
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player.ย 
  • Must have flexibility to work shifts on weekdays, weekday evenings, weekends, early mornings, and late nights and outdoors in all weather conditions. ย 
  • Experience working in the customer service industry is a plus.ย
