As PRIME AE continues to expand its capabilities, geographic reach, and leadership bench, this is an exciting time to join a team that is building momentum, investing in growth, and empowering leaders to make a lasting impact.

The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Landscape Architect II to join our Jacksonville, FL office.

This role is ideal for an emerging professional who is passionate about creating innovative outdoor environments and looking to grow their design and technical skills within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of landscape architecture, site development, and planning projects while gaining hands-on experience and building a long-term career with a nationally recognized architecture and engineering firm.

Working alongside experienced landscape architects, planners, engineers, and architects, you will help develop creative and practical design solutions that enhance the built environment and strengthen the communities we serve. The structure and tone of this posting were informed by the firm’s prior Landscape Architect role materials.

What You’ll Do:

As a Landscape Architect II, you will support the planning, design, and production of landscape architectural projects across a variety of markets and project types. You will assist with concept development, graphic production, construction documentation, and project coordination while continuing to develop your technical, design, and project delivery skills within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce landscape architectural designs, site plans, construction documents, and detailed drawings for a variety of project types.
  • Develop graphic presentations, renderings, plans, sections, elevations, and other visual materials to communicate design concepts.
  • Assist with site due diligence efforts, research, site analysis, and master planning studies.
  • Prepare and coordinate landscape, irrigation, grading, hardscape, parking, utility, and construction details.
  • Research and apply applicable codes, zoning regulations, plant materials, construction techniques, and permitting requirements.
  • Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, planners, transportation engineers, and consultants to develop integrated project solutions.
  • Coordinate with local jurisdictions, regulatory agencies, clients, and subconsultants.
  • Participate in field reviews, site observations, certifications, and post-design services.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze project information to support planning and design efforts.
  • Contribute ideas, recommendations, and technical expertise to improve project delivery and design quality.
  • Assist with project proposals, presentations, and other business development activities.
  • Travel to project sites, client meetings, and consultant offices as needed.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university.
  • Landscape Architect Registration (preferred) or the ability to obtain licensure.
  • Two to five years of professional experience in landscape architecture, land planning, or a related field.
  • Internship, study-abroad, or prior professional experience in a design environment is preferred.
  • Strong design, master planning, and graphic communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Familiarity with SketchUp and other visualization software.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate alternatives and develop thoughtful design solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities with the capability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and build strong working relationships.
  • Ability and willingness to travel periodically to project sites, client meetings, and field reviews.
