Job Description

Coordinator, Program Scheduling

The Coordinator, Program Scheduling, plays a key role in the execution of linear programming strategies for the networks Telemundo, Universo & Telexitos. Reporting to the Director, Programming, the Coordinator is responsible for the creation and maintenance of monthly programming grids while serving as a primary point of coordination between Programming, Programming Operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely schedule execution.

Job Duties

  • Creates and maintains monthly programming grids for Telemundo, Universo & Telexitos.
  • Executes program schedule changes in a timely manner and communicates updates to all relevant business stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with Programming Operations to ensure programming materials are prepared and formatted according to scheduling requirements.
  • Supports the execution of live event scheduling, including schedule revisions for sports, news, and special programming.
  • Ensures proper scheduling of children's programming to comply with current FCC guidelines.
  • Creates and updates long-range planning grids to support budget refresh cycles and programming planning.
  • Coordinates schedule reviews and assists in identifying potential conflicts or discrepancies prior to schedule publication.
  • Serves as a liaison with internal departments to ensure schedule accuracy across all distribution platforms.
  • Attends weekly cross-functional meetings to review upcoming programming priorities and scheduling needs.
  • Assists with process improvements and documentation to enhance scheduling workflows and operational efficiencies.
  • Serves as back up for EVS operations for live event execution
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • 2+ years of media or television experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Media Communications, Film/TV Production, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a large-scale media environment (Broadcast, Television, News & Information, Live Entertainment), or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other related software.

  • Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have a valid driverโ€™s license.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
