As a Security Officer in HERNDON, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. You will conduct routine checks, document observations, and provide customer-focused service while supporting site procedures. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at an aerospace and defense billing operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access to offices and restricted areas, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of business areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Complete detailed activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
