• Conduct thorough initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations for clients to determine their individual treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy, to address a range of mental health issues.
• Work with clients on an appointment basis, ensuring flexibility and accessibility that meets their scheduling needs, and allows you to manage your time effectively.
• Document clinical records accurately and consistently to comply with ethical standards and legal regulations.
• Collaborate with a robust multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists and social workers to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Stay current with advancements in the field of mental health by participating in ongoing training and attending relevant workshops.
• Address the evolving needs of your clients by tailoring your therapeutic approach based on individual progress and feedback.

As an LPC at Family Unity Counseling, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals, couples, families, and groups facing various challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Our clients seek meaningful support and guidance, and your skills will empower them to navigate their mental health journeys effectively.

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) within the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a counseling role, ideally in a clinical or telehealth setting.
• A strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal considerations relevant to the counseling profession.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Experience in specialized areas such as trauma recovery, substance abuse treatment, family therapy, or couples counseling is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and teletherapy platforms to streamline processes and enhance client care.
• Proven ability to work within a collaborative environment and contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team.

• Annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
