Job Description
The Trimble Unity Maintain/Cityworks Administrator is responsible for configuring, implementing, and supporting Trimble Unity Maintain/Cityworks solutions for airport clients located in Chicago, IL. This role serves as a subject matter expert for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and airport asset management best practices, helping clients optimize asset lifecycle management, work order processes, inspections, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
The Administrator works closely with airport operations, maintenance, engineering, GIS, and IT stakeholders to design and configure Unity Maintain/Cityworks solutions that align with business requirements, operational goals, and aviation industry regulations. The role also supports integrations with ArcGIS, BIM, digital twin platforms, lease and space management systems, and other enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Configuration & Implementation
  • Lead the configuration, deployment, and optimization of Trimble Unity Maintain/Cityworks solutions for airport clients.
  • Design and configure asset hierarchies, work order management, service requests, inspections, preventive maintenance programs, and operational workflows.
  • Configure user roles, permissions, security settings, and business rules.
  • Support software upgrades, testing, enhancements, and production deployments.
  • Develop implementation strategies, system standards, and configuration best practices.

Airport Asset Management
  • Configure solutions supporting airside and landside infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons, lighting systems, facilities, utilities, roadways, and parking assets.
  • Design workflows for FAA Part 139 inspections, safety programs, maintenance operations, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Support mobile workforce enablement for maintenance and inspection personnel.

GIS, BIM & Digital Twin Integration
  • Configure and support integrations between Unity Maintain/Cityworks and Esri ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Ensure alignment between asset, work management, GIS, and BIM data models.
  • Support digital twin initiatives, spatial analytics, and asset visualization capabilities.
  • Collaborate with GIS and technology teams to implement best practices for spatially enabled asset management.

Enterprise Integration & Data Management
  • Support integrations with document management systems, BIM platforms, PROPworks, financial systems, and other airport applications.
  • Assist with API, ETL, and middleware-based integrations.
  • Establish data governance standards, data migration strategies, and quality assurance processes.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and performance metrics related to asset condition, maintenance operations, and compliance requirements.

Client Engagement & Training
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to airport clients throughout implementation and support engagements.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering workshops and stakeholder meetings.
  • Provide user training, system documentation, and change management support.
  • Translate client business needs into scalable Cityworks and Unity Maintain solutions.
  • Support business development, proposal efforts, and strategic asset management initiatives as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Asset Management, or a related field + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience serving airports, aviation authorities, transportation agencies, or other infrastructure owners.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing, configuring, administering, or supporting Trimble Unity Maintain/Cityworks.
  • Strong understanding of asset management, CMMS/EAM solutions, work order management, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Experience with Esri ArcGIS Enterprise and relational databases (SQL Server preferred).
  • Experience supporting enterprise software implementations and client-facing projects.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with FAA Part 139 requirements and airport operations.
  • Experience with Cityworks Respond, PLL, and related Trimble Unity solutions.
  • Trimble Unity Maintain/Cityworks certification(s).
  • Experience with BIM, digital twin technologies, enterprise integrations, and asset management consulting.
  • PMP, IAM, CAMA, or other relevant industry certifications.
