Job description

Job Title: FSR Engineer

Job Location: Washington, D.C.

We are seeking smart, experienced engineers to help deploy groundbreaking technical solutions that address our customersโ€™ most challenging problems. Our work supports critical missionsโ€”detecting insider trading, improving disaster relief, combating healthcare fraud, and more. Each mission presents unique challenges, from navigating regulatory environments to managing complex data and serving diverse user populations.

As an FSR Engineer, you will help develop comprehensive solutionsโ€”from high-level system design and configuration to application development and data integration. You will leverage everything at your disposal: core company products, open-source technologies (e.g., GitHub Enterprise), and anything you and your team can build to drive real-world impact.

In this role, you will collaborate with customers around the globe, gaining rare insight into some of the worldโ€™s most important industries and institutions.

Technologies We Use

Our core company platform, which serves as the foundation for our projects, as well as custom applications built on top of it.

  • Databases & Distributed Systems: Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Hadoop, and Spark for distributed data storage and parallel computing.
  • Back-End Development: Java for backend applications and data integration tools.
  • Front-End Development: TypeScript, React/Redux for building responsive and modern web interfaces.
  • Data Processing & Analysis: Python for data manipulation, analysis, and scripting tasks.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Commercial cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Operating Systems: CentOS/Red Hat Linux for all on-premises servers.

What We Value

  • A strong engineering background, preferably in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics.
  • Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical toolsโ€”as well as an understanding of how technical decisions affect end users.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
  • Ability to work effectively within teams composed of both technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Comfort and skill working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting objectives and iterative development cycles.
  • A demonstrated ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness and interest in traveling as needed (including internationally) based on business requirements.

What We Require

  • Ability to participate in on-call rotations
  • U.S. Citizenship (required by U.S. Government contracts)
  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly (FSP) (required by U.S. Government contracts)
