• Conduct thorough patient examinations, including medical history reviews and physical assessments, to ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Order and interpret various diagnostic tests, such as blood panels and imaging studies, to inform treatment plans.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and urgent health conditions, managing cases with efficiency and empathy.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for chronic illnesses, ensuring continuity of care and effective outcomes.
• Prescribe medications while monitoring their efficacy and adjusting regimens as necessary based on patient response.
• Maintain thorough and organized patient records through electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, preventive measures, and treatment options to empower them in their healthcare journey.
• Promote preventative care and health maintenance strategies, advocating for lifestyle changes and wellness practices that support long-term health.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and research, contributing to evidence-based practice improvements.

You will primarily serve the diverse patient population of Chicago, addressing a variety of urgent healthcare needs that include injury care, acute illnesses, and preventive services. Our patient demographic spans all age groups, backgrounds, and health conditions, providing an enriching experience as you interact with individuals from various walks of life. Understanding the cultural context of our community is key in delivering effective and compassionate care.

• Completion of a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited university.
• Active Physician Assistant license in Illinois, in compliance with state regulations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, essential for effective collaboration and patient education.
• A robust work ethic and a strong desire to contribute positively to a team-oriented healthcare environment.
• Possession of a valid DEA number for medication prescribing responsibilities.

• Previous experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare technology will enhance workflow efficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-pressure situations and make clinical decisions swiftly and effectively.
