SUMMARY

United Communications is looking for a seasoned marketer who knows how to turn customer insights, creative ideas, and well-executed campaigns into measurable growth. As our Marketing Specialist, you will use a broad mix of marketing channels and tactics to reach the right audiences, generate qualified leads, and help attract new residential, business, and community customers. This is a hands-on role for an experienced marketing professional who can see the bigger picture while also managing the details required to bring effective campaigns to life.

As a member of a small, collaborative Marketing team, the Marketing Specialist will manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously while working closely with Sales, Community Engagement, Product, and other internal teams. This individual should be comfortable moving between strategy and executionfrom developing campaign plans and messaging to coordinating direct mail, email, digital advertising, events, and other lead-generation activities.

POSITION SCHEDULE AND ONSITE REQUIREMENTS

This is a full-time, direct-hire position based out of our Franklin, TN office. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the role is fully on-site. Occasional attendance at events outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns designed to generate qualified leads and support customer acquisition and revenue goals.
  • Develop and execute Go-To-Market plans for new product launches.
  • Use a variety of marketing tactics, including email marketing, direct mail, digital advertising, social media, website content, community outreach, events, referral programs, and promotional campaigns.
  • Develop campaign briefs, timelines, audience strategies, messaging, offers, and calls to action.
  • Coordinate with internal partners and external vendors to ensure campaigns are delivered accurately, on time, and within budget.
  • Work closely with Residential Sales, Business Sales, and the Communities division to understand growth priorities and develop marketing programs that support their goals.
  • Monitor campaign performance and key metrics, including leads, conversion rates, customer acquisition, cost per lead, and return on marketing investment.
  • Use performance data and customer insights to recommend improvements and optimize future campaigns.
  • Help develop clear, compelling marketing content that reflects United Communications brand voice and value proposition.
  • Support product market expansions, promotional offers, and other go-to-market initiatives.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, project plans, campaign documentation, and status updates.
  • Assist Community Engagement Coordinators with community events and local marketing activities as needed.
  • Represent United Communications professionally when interacting with customers, community partners, vendors, and other external audiences.
  • Stay current on marketing trends, tools, customer preferences, and competitive activity within the telecommunications industry.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as the Marketing team and the company continue to grow and evolve.


WHAT YOU BRING

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional marketing experience, including direct responsibility for lead-generation or customer-acquisition campaigns.
  • Demonstrated experience using multiple marketing channels rather than specializing in only one area.
  • Strong relationship-building ability with proactive, results-oriented, and resourceful approaches.
  • Strong project-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Experience developing campaign messaging and working with creative teams or outside vendors.
  • Ability to analyze marketing results and translate data into practical recommendations.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and responsibilities may change.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM, analytics, email marketing tools, or project-management platforms is highly preferred.
  • Experience in telecommunications, ISP, technology, utilities, or another service-based industry is preferred but not required.
