Hey there, Neonatology Superstar! Are you ready to trade traffic jams and burnout for meaningful work, a supportive team, and a great quality of life in Middle Georgia? We're seeking two full-time Neonatologists to join a growing NICU program in Macon, GA. If caring for our tiniest patients while helping a program grow excites you, keep reading.
What's the Gig?
  • You'll help lead a Level II NICU that is progressing toward Level III designation-a true opportunity to be part of a program's growth and evolution.
  • Currently a 12-bed NICU, with expansion planned as the program continues to develop.
  • Approximately 1,400 annual deliveries, serving as a regional hub for neonatal care.
  • Average daily census of 6-7 patients, allowing for high-quality, attentive care.
Your Daily Adventures Will Include:
  • Managing infants born at 32 weeks gestation or greater and weighing 1,500 grams or more.
  • Caring for convalescing neonates following intensive care.
  • Providing short-term mechanical ventilation support when needed.
  • Stabilizing and coordinating transfer for infants requiring higher-level care.
  • Managing infants with perinatal substance exposure, including scoring and pharmacologic treatment when appropriate.
  • Overseeing care for low-birth-weight infants requiring extended monitoring, feeding support, and nursing care.
  • Delivering critical neonatal interventions including CPR, cardiac monitoring, oxygen therapy, and acute stabilization.
