Interim Controller Hybrid onsite, Winston-Salem, NC As Interim Controller, you will serve as the senior financial leader for our client, responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, and control processes. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong analytical expertise, and the ability to partner with the business to drive informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP Establish, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across the business unit Lead month-end and close processes, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements Analyze financial results and investigate significant trends and variances; communicate insights and recommendations to leadership Provide oversight of AP, AR, payroll, tax, cost, and inventory accounting functions Deliver daily and/or weekly operational reporting, including margin analysis, variance analysis, and performance metrics Partner with operational leaders to provide financial guidance tied to business activities and outcomes Assist with budget development, forecasting, and preparation of monthly budget-to-actual variance analyses Supervise and mentor accounting staff, driving accountability and process efficiency ************************************************* Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
